I’m not sure anyone else has noticed but Decatur Indiana’s only newspaper, the Decatur Daily Democrat seems to have forgotten to update their domain registration. In this day and age of Internet news and web savy users, I’m suprised they let this happen. Surfing the web first thing in the morning for updated news and information is one of the mainstays of my life. The Decatur Daily Democrat was one of the first sites on my list of many to review. Perhaps the owners of the paper here in Decatur, IN. dont realize that there are many of us that utilizte the online version of the Decatur Daily Democrat. If they dont decide to renew their domain name, I may just have to look into purchasing it for myself. 
Just curious but am I the only one out there that uses the online version of the Decatur Daily Democrat?

It seems Decatur Daily Democrat is back online
Decatur democrat Website is down again!!!!
I dont know about your thoughts but as far as I’m concerned the Decatur Daily Democrat should just sell their domain anyway. The Decatur Newpaper is pretty much worthless as far as news in concerned. Most people I know take the paper from Fort Wayne. The Decatur Daily Democrat website is pretty much as worthless as the newspaper in my opinion.

Thanks for stopping. Yeah I know the Decatur Daily Democrat isnt a large town newspaper but for keeping updated on local events and news it does a far better job at coverage of the Adams County area than any of the Fort Wayne Newspapers.
Hi! I live in the UK but was born & raised in Decatur. I like to read the news back home but it seems the site has been down for awhile? Or is it just my comp? Who knows…anyway, if it gets back online let me know
Amanda: Do you know anyone here who could bundle up the newspapers and send them to you? The news may be a little old, but there will be more of it. The website only prints a smidgin of what’s in the paper. The Royal Mail will see that you get it in one piece.

I was born and raised in Decatur, therfore, I like to read the news back home. I still have a lot of close family (mother, brother, niece, etc.) that live and work in Decatur. I visit frequently and I would hate to see the on line newspaper go away. Maybe just add some spice or even have former residents write a piece on a weekly basis..could be a special column that everyone would enjoy. It could reflect on life outside f Decatur and what those of us that are away from our home town miss as compared to where we currently call home. Just some thoughts…but don’t let it go away!

This was an older post from last year. The Decatur Indiana newspaper is still live and kicking. You can view it online but it is not a full blow copy of the paper.
