Indiana prepares for their primary elections on May 6th.  Unlike years past Indiana voters can actually make a difference this year in determining the Democratic Party candidate for President.  I urge all Decatur Indiana voters to plan on taking advantage of this opportunity to serve your country and participate in this years primary election.  You can find your voter registration status and polling locations at the Indiana Election Board website or call Hoosier Voter Hotline at 1-866-IN-1-VOTE (866-461-8683). This years primary election is particularly interesting as the race for the Democratic  Presidential candidate is really close.  North Carolina will also be holding their primary elections on May 6th. Unlike Florida and Michigan who’s votes wont count this year toward the Democratic Party nomination, North Carolina and Indiana will be playing a huge part in this process.  I find it a bit humorous that the Democrat party that raised a ruckus over counting the popular vote during the hanging chad scandal, will actually dismiss the votes of 2 entire states because they changed the dates of their primary elections.  Doesn’t seem to me that the date of a State’s primary election should have anything to do with it.  I’m sure this will come back to haunt them as we continue on towards the November Presidential elections.
