The point about the sub housing is how many of the renters moved here from FW that were not employeed to start with?? So how are they going to find a job in Decatur when we dont even have public trans? Not that you really need it in Decatur, but point being, we dont have the opp there are in FW for jobs, so why move here? Brand new apartments is why....
As far as the luxery buisness booming or dying, I guess you have to look at what buisness, Fleetwood yes had lay offs, I dont knwo about Thunderbird, I only know about the performance car buisness and I know they are all 3 here in town doing well, of course I dont think they have any Decatur customers by looking at the lic plates on them. But have you seen LPEs lot--its full. Revenge just moved into a new building. I saw a Viper with out of state plates buzz by me the other day and I am sure they were here for one of the speed shops. THere will always be a small percent of the population that has more money than sence, and they will buy.
