Pest Control Decatur Indiana

Anyone else in Decatur having problems with pests this year.  I’ve had a horrible time dealing with controlling pavement ants. The stuipid little ants are getting into everything, my shed, home and camper are just crawling with the pests.  I took the last week dealing with tracking down the ant nests and killing them off with boiling water to start getting the pests under control.  This spring has been so wet that the pest control has been particularly tough. Ants, mosquitoes and even a few ticks have invaded my yard like an army of rabid insects.  The mosquitoes ive been controlling with a propane fogger my father in law loaned me and it seems to control them pretty well.  The eliminating of them ants has been a much tougher task.  they are everywhere, I find a new colony of ants in the yard almost daily.  We have even started chaning our landscaping to help with the pest control. There are many herbs such as mint, lemon balm, lavinder and others that are supposed to help in pest control. Mice, ants and other insects I guess really dont like their smell.  I’ve also been told marigolds and geraniums are good pest control plants.  Flying insects really hate marigolds I guess their smell gets them all dizzy and they loose control. If your looking for good pest control products I found some nice pest control equipment on ebay. If you choose there is always that option of finding a local exterminator to help with your pest control. Well that’s enought rambling for today I was just curious if others in the area are having a hard time with pests.
