Adams County Hero A Real Spirt Of Courage

I received an email from a reader with a story about a true Adams County hero Richard F Linn. Some of you may recognize him from past Adams County elections where he served as the Coroner for our fine county. Richard is featured in a new film put out by the Unites States Army. This film covers the role of the U.S. Army Medic an often-unrecognized hero of our armed services. Richard gives a touching recap of his time during World War II. For Richards heroism he was awarded the second highest military decoration, the DISTINGUISHED SERVICE CROSS.

There is no way I could write an article that would come anywhere close to portraying the heroism of Richard Linn or any of the other featured Veterans in this film. Please take the time to view this wonderful film called “ Sprit Of Courage, Army Medic Video” I encourage you all to share this video with your children, family and friends. You can view the full video Click Here Richard Linn’s story is around the 7 min mark and again near 23rd m

During this time of war while our young men are fighting abroad to preserve the rights of this country and allow others to have the same freedoms, we must remember that without them our lives would be drastically different. My hats off to all the American Soldiers that have sacrificed for our Country in the past and present. If you happen to see a US Serviceman or veteran like Mr. Linn take the time to THANK them for their service.
