High School Fundraisers – Show Your Support

School is back in session and fundraisers will soon follow. I’ve already been emailed by a few high school organizations about the various fundraisers they will be having this year. I believe the Bellmont High School band and Bellmont Brave Generation will be holding a car wash fundraiser on Sept 20th at the parking lot of Kmart. I’ll post the times when I confirm the dates the car wash fund raiser is taking place. In addition to the car wash the band and show choir will also be selling a platinum card to raise funds this year. If you’ve bought the gold fundraiser card in the past you should be familiar with them. This year’s card will be made by the High School and all proceeds of this fundraiser will go directly to the Bellmont Brave Generation and the high school band. The band and show choir will also hold sales of Port-O-Pit chicken to help raise funds for this years activities. Other high school fundraisers will probably include candle sales, candy sales and various advertising options for local businesses.
I know lots of people get annoyed at all the different fund raisers that take place through our local schools and organizations but they are unfortunately a necessity. These high school organizations receive most if not all of their money through fundraisers like these. Please help out your local school organizations whether it by being a booster for the athletic department or buy purchasing an item through one of the high school fundraisers. Local businesses can also show support for the local high schools by participating in the various fundraisers by sponsoring the various high school events and utilizing the advertising in the event programs.
