Ever wonder what price your car would bring at an auto auction. After discussing last months Auburn auto auction it made me curious as to what the difference between car auction prices, trade in value and retail price for my car was. I found a great tool at the Kruse auto auction website that has car auction price results for auto auctions that have been held from all over the country as far back as 1996. It was interesting to see how different the car auction prices were when comparing the California car auction to those held in Pennsylvania, Indiana, Florida, Michigan and New Jersey. Like many things the prices tend to be higher on the east and west coast as compared to here in the Midwest, however the classic car auction prices from Auburn compare very similar to antique auto auctions held in other areas of the country.
If your like me and considering buying a new car and would like to know the true value of your trade in, you can check Kelly blue book values, and other used car price guides but car auction prices will show you exactly what people are paying for cars at the various auto auctions throughout the country. If you happen to own a classic car you’ll be amazed the some of the high auction prices these bring.
If current auto auction prices get you in the mood to sell your classic car you might think twice. There is some big money in just renting your car. I know tons of people that will rent classic cars for special occasions like parades, graduations and weddings. If the auto auction prices aren’t where you think they should be for your car there are definately other ways to make a buck or two from them. Car rental tips and tricks are just another alternative to consider when car auction prices aren’t in your favor.
