Last Update For Bellmont Show Choir

It has come to my attention that the school or some of those that work for it dont care too much for this site and want the Bellmont Brave Generation Show Choir page pulled down. I’m sure it has to do with previous posts about the school administrator that was dismissed, as there wasn’t any complaints last year. I will no longer be showing the school events or updates that were in the sidebars and removing the bellmont brave generation page. You can go to Bellmont high school webpage for your sports and BG information. Oh that’s right there is nothing on the schools web page about the choir programs at Bellmont.

As for them being upset because I post information about the school’s choir events at least I didnt do it for monetary reasons like http://zwchoreo.com This site has the same information I post about the schools organization but is basically just a resume and sales pitch for a someone wanting to sell their services as choreographer.  I guess I could have used the schools organization to push sales to my families trophy website and other for profit advertisers.  Even Bellmont’s sports information on their webpage is handled by highschool.net that does nothing but try to get your kids to buy t shirt, pay for subscriptions to classmates.com and other such advertisers.  Maybe the school gets a cut of the profits? If they do what are they doing with the money?  I’ll have to dig deeper into that later.

Perhaps more time should be spent reviewing what actual employees for the school post on their websites than worrying about someone who 1. doesn’t work for the school.  2. isn’t a student and  3. wanted to show support for a group that the school themselves can’t seem to promote.

Had someone from the School contacted me via email and asked that I remove the information and explained why, I’m sure I would have accommodated them without any issues.  However,  I had to hear it from the grapevine, where terms like lawsuit were thrown around in a threatening manner.  I’ll be more diligent in my efforts to keep the public informed about all the short comings of the local schools going forward. It’s nice to know the school is all about protecting freedom of speech.

What a shame. What are they going to charge you with–informing the public of public school events? Unless you hear it from a school official, I say put the information back up. I never got valid, truthful info from a grapevine.

I’ll probably still post updates about various school functions this is more of a protest against school officials for bad mouthing something they’ve probably never read and spouting off about it to others in a negative way. Could care less about lawsuit you can’t be sued for writing the truth :)

Oh my … 1984 anyone? Big Brother? C’mon people…This is like the barber shop of the 40’s, the malt shop of the 50’s… people hanging out and getting things off their virtual chests. Keep up the good work, Admin. I have no where else to turn to for what is going on in MY schools where MY children attend.

This is the best site there is for information put forth in a most factual manner without any ‘proverbial’ attempts to cover up for any so called ’sacred cows.’ This site is a very powerful site to be quite truthful about it! If it was not for this site and wane tv, the Walmart incident with the now ‘former’ Assistant Principal at the Middle School would have not of had near the Public Exposure and Public Pressure put on the School Board to make the right thing happen in the end! Freedom of Speech enabled the right result on that matter. Thank God for this site and the WANE TV website for General Comments to the News Department on ‘Stories of Interest.’

I take it you must have seen that red and black layout I had up for a bit. Was trying to fix this one and was jumping back and forth for a bit. I finally have completely recovered from the outage I had a few weeks back and have this template working correctly again.

Just wanting to know if anyone is upset with the new ideas the North Adams School System is planning for next year. I heard they want to move all the elementary kids around. They want to place pre K, K and possibly 1st at one school, grades 2 and 3 at another while grades 4 and 5 will be at yet another. If you have children in various grades like I do, that means I would have to travel across town to collect my kids if they are released early for bad weathr or other things. What time will the kids have to get on the bus now to get them to their respective schools? I could barely afford gas the way it was and now I will need to spend more. Even though it seems to be affordable now, it won’t stay that way. If they are wanting to close a school, then do it and stop playing around. They just bought the house near Bellmont and now want to close it to move those kids into a school. Doesn’t seem like the board and others involved are thinking very clearly. As for them bringin in fast food, my high school kids told me that did that every month last year. Arby’s and Pizza Hut. The school was getting the $5.oo pizza’s from Pizza Hut and then sold them my piece. If the kids wanted to buy a whole pizza, it was 8.00. Not sure how they were able to gouge the kids and the parents with a clear consience.
Just curious as to what other parents think of the new ideas for moving kids.

Eve: I have heard that same rumour. You might want to ask the same question in the new Decatur Indiana forum that Admin just launched. I am sure you would get a lot of feedback… if the school board wants to save money, wouldn’t it be better to just close one elementary school?
