Many Decatur Small Businesses participated in a Christmas Open House event over this past weekend. I have recieved an email looking for some feedback from the public in regards to this holiday promotion. Participating in this event were 23 locally owned small businesses that are known by most throughout the Decatur, IN area. While I didn’t personally attend I’m told there were door prizes, store specials and some entertainment. I’m writing this post after having recieved an email looking for some feedback from the public in regards to this holiday promotion. Some thing’s I’d specifically like to know are:
- Did you visit any of the small businesses holding the Christmas open house? which ones? why?
- How did you hear about the open house?
- Did you do any shopping at the local business while out and about?
- What could the businesses do different to improve the event?
I”m sure any other feedback or comments you might have about the Decatur Small Business Christmas Open House would definitely be appreciated by your local business owners. This special holiday event was planned and promoted by the Decatur Small Business Association. You can check out their website for pictures of the open house at : www.decatursba.com The focus of this group of small business owners is to promote shopping at the many locally owned retailers, restaurants and service businesses with in the community. Help them provide you the best shopping experience by leaving your comments and feedback about this past weekends promotion.

Too bad the weather didn’t cooperate! Yuck! It was alot of fun, but I would appreciate having the hours of operation of all the particpating businesses. We got a late start and didn’t get to all the places I wanted to go because they were closed. I had a great time and I hope they do it again next year.

It would have been nice for them to be open on Sunday. I work Saturdays and by the time I was off work, some of the places I wanted to go were closed.
